and birds hit the sky like a window.
EXTENDED APPEARANCE:
PERSONALITY:This molly is of a stocky build, with broad shoulders and fairly short legs. This can make her seem rather intimidating, but she really is only of an average size. Her tail seems a bit longer than it ought to be, and her paws are a bit small compared to the rest of her. However, Marigoldcloud's used to her body and is very comfortable in it - she's a very capable swimmer, hunter, and climber. She's pretty well balanced, except that she's not so good a fighter. Not that there are very many battles in WildClan, so it doesn't really matter much.
Her pelt is thick and short, and mostly a dark ginger. She is a tabby, but the markings are not much darker than her base color, so they can be hard to see if she's not in the right light. The white on her paws starkly contrasts the red, as does the splash of white on her nose.
Marigoldcloud's face is a common ovoid shape. Her muzzle may be a tad shorter than average and her eyes just a bit farther apart, but for the most part she is quite average. She also doesn't consider herself particularly pretty and really doesn't care, as is apparent by the nicks on her nose and ears and the fact that she waits longer than most before grooming herself.
i do not say a word, but still
FAMILY:As some say, Marigoldcloud has the emotions of a dead mouse. As she herself says, she doesn't bother to care about petty things, and there are an awful lot of petty things in everyday life. She's a very rational kind of cat, and she's very, very calm. She certainly can't remember the last time she had an outburst of any kind - it was probably sometime in her kithood, if not nonexistent. Of course, she does have emotions, but they aren't wild or intense or any of that nonsense, and she doesn't go out of her way to express the subtleties.
But one isn't defined by emotions. Marigoldcloud is otherwise known for sticking to the warrior code and following orders to the letter. Not that she agrees with every rule, but she wouldn't even think of breaking one. She has plenty of respect for all authority and believes life to be nothing without structure. In fact, she doesn't like to think of rebellion because she can't figure out how they'd put a new structure in place. In defense of this choice she feels she has to find other reasons they should stay as one clan, but sometimes she doesn't even agree with them. Not that she'd care, though. Why make a fuss?
She is tolerant of just about everything, but she'll certainly use a bit of sarcasm around rule-breakers and doesn't hesitate to bring out her claws in the presence of non-clan cats. Her tolerance comes off as just not caring sometimes, which is why she isn't particularly close to any cat - she hardly seems to have opinions and has a hard time showing her emotions. But, her mind is quite sharp, and that draws in some companions. Well, when she puts it to use, that is.

HISTORY:
CBOX NAME:Marigoldkit was born in late leaf-fall, just when cats were beginning to expect snow. She had one brother in her litter, named Littlekit for his unusually small size. She was weak and sickly as a kitten, but her brother was much worse. Neither one of them was expected to make it through the leaf-bare. Littlekit died so soon Marigoldcloud does not remember him, but with constant looking-after by the medicine cat, Marigoldkit pulled through.
The young ginger kitten had no companions until a few litters came after her, and the age difference was enough that she sort of took authority in the nursery. She wasn't the type to go off and get into mischief, and the younger kits wouldn't be convincing her. So, the whole of her time in the nursery was quite uneventful.
Marigoldkit was, of course, very excited on the day of her apprentice ceremony. She accepted her new duties with pride and came back to the den nearly every day bragging about something new her mentor had taught her. The bragging wasn't even due to self-importance - Marigoldpaw was just that excited about every lesson. She kept training steadily, even when she was growing tired of her duties, even when she wondered if she ought to be more relaxed. Being a part of the great system that was WildClan enthralled her, and she clung to the code and the leader's orders as though they were the only things keeping her alive. She wanted to be reliable and dependable, not chaotic like some cats. In that she succeeded.
Her warrior ceremony was the greatest moment of her life. Marigoldcloud was a full member of the Clan she cared for and depended on, and they relied on her and trusted her. They chanted her name for her. She hoped that the feeling in that moment would never leave her. And, though she fell into routine long ago and stopped considering each day so exciting, it never really did.

Zumarra strolled through the Orchard at a leisurely pace, her tail waving gently behind her. A particularly compelling thought in the back of her mind had led her here to see if she could find her birth tree again. Maybe she might also have the chance to greet some newborn creatures as well. But so far, although she had spotted a few broken pods, the young feline had yet to come across anybody.
Eventually she spotted the tart cerasus tree from which she was born and would forever recognize. She sat at its roots to watch the sunrise, remembering fondly watching it set the night before leaving the Orchard. It was then that she heard a cracking sound somewhere nearby, followed by a small, frightened mewl. Her ears pricked up and Zumarra snapped to her feet, searching for the animal who had apparently just hatched. It took several moments for her to look up and spot the hole in one of the pods on a nearby annab tree, and more importantly, the terrified feline inside. She started running over, about to call out, before seeing a large canine come rushing in from a different direction."Hello, hello! I am Gwen, I am here to rescue you from your precarious perch!"This canine would probably be a lot more capable, with its larger size. Instead Zumarra stopped not to far away, still standing and ready to move, just in case.
